Second day I get up coffee maker stopped working so I went downstairs by the bistro where the day before they had a large pot of coffee, it was completely empty, went up to the door person as there was no one at the desk, I asked where I could get some coffee, he said back by the bistro, I stated it was empty he said then there is none, I stated I was paying $209.00 a night for a room and cant even get coffee? He did not saying anything. We came back after a few hours and at 4:00pm our room still had not been cleaned, I called the front desk and ask about the housekeeping, was told they do not do overnight cleaning, so what did I need? I said clean towels and coffee, okay we will send it up.

After first night we went up to Ocean Shores to find espresso drinks as when I asked at the desk what time the coffee stand open I was told maybe 7:30 if anyone shows up. This is a hotel, no way a resort, I understand Covid has wreck havoc on the service industry, but this was an unpleasant stay. We stayed for three nights but was able to do what we wanted to do in two days. Temperature check at the entrance and masks are worn in public areas. Towels are offered so no need to bring your towels from your room. The pool was pleasantly warm and the hot tub was perfect. We can make our own beds and use the towels more than once. There was no maid service while we were there. The food at the restaurant was delicious (limited) and accommodating. The staff was friendly and helpful even though they were understaffed due to the weather conditions. Was able to walk out to the beach and saw two Bald Eagles fly over. The boardwalk to the beach is on the left side of the building. The fireplace was great but pretty close to the bed and way hot to the touch. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as we hoped. And of course we came during a snow storm. If you’re a gambler, this is a great get away.
